Doogee To Copy iNew V3!

doogee-dagger-dg550-1Doogee will be taking a page out of the iNew V3 looks book.

The Doogee Dagger will have a 5.5″ LCD and use the MT6592 SoC. Other than that not much is known. This recent photo was posted on Doogee’s Facebook page and shows they’ve more or less copied the exact design of the iNew V3, but added a half inch to the LCD.

What they’ve copied beyond the general design of the phone is what we’ve dubbed ‘The Evil Eye’ in their soon to be released Doogee DG55o Dagger. You’d think that Doogee would at least have the decency to change things slightly. Maybe change the color of the Evil Eye, or possibly the shape, but based on the photo here it looks they’ve copied the Evil Eye exactly.

Often times these phones are produced by a factory OEM style and then bought, marketed and sold by different brands, so it’s very possible you’ll see an iNew version of this 5.5″.

The China market being what is, many of the phones are clones. Why not clone each other. At least we can be sure iNew won’t be suing Doogee a la Apple suing Samsung.

The final specs of this phone can now be seen on the official site of doogee: http://www.doogee.cc/en/gb/pro_params.asp?id=138

It has a 720P screen, 13MP back camera and 5 MP front camera. I am a bit surprised that this octa-core phone has Android Kitkat 4.4, I believe no other octa-core phone (MT6592 chipset) has Android 4.4.

Thanks for the update Jason. Good to see they got the info up. Would be great if it really did come with Kitkat. Let’s wait and see on that one.

When Doogee first advertised the Turbo 2014 they said it had android 4.2.9 :-)

If inew really makes a version of Doogee 550 does that mean the over-hyped V3 would become an orphan?
