Ulefone Be Pro review battery life and charging
Setting the Be Pro to refresh an image heavy webpage over WiFi every 5 seconds, it lasted 7 hours onscreen. Brightness was set at 30%. Discharging was quite smooth and you see at 1% there’s still a bit of juice left in it.
Charging times are very good. An extremely smooth charge with no dips until the very end. The Be Pro charges fully to 100% without any jumps. Take a look at the charging images, it’s a thing of beauty.
Ulefone Be Pro external speaker / mic / earpiece
The external speaker on the Be Pro is above average. Not the loudest I’ve heard, but easily adequate for movies / music / hands free calls.
Both the mic and the earpiece had no issues. I could clearly hear the other person and they could hear me.

Ulefone Be Pro review pictures / images
They are all SOOC (straight out of camera) except for resizing. Sony or not, they look quite good and in many cases, even the 100% crops from 5mp images (see 2nd gallery) are very usable. Note that at least one owner of the Ulefone Be Pro is noticing some red tint in his images. There does appear to be some reddish tint in the wall picture here, but it’s very difficult to notice in most normal pictures.

Ulefone Be Pro OTA updates
Before publishing this page of the review, I checked for updates and there was one available. I downloaded and auto-installed the update without issue. A great thing to see at least some China brands putting effort into updates.
Ulefone Be Pro Antutu
Check out the huge 3D score here on the Ulefone Be Pro Antutu. Thanks to the MT6732 with Mali-T760 this puppy will run any game you throw at it with ease.
We also have scores from it’s 3D-mark Ice Storm test, both in 1080p Extreme and 720p Standard.
Ulefone Be Pro conclusion
The bad
- *Seems to be* red tint shows in some pictures (see wall image)
Consider
- WiFi begins to cut out at 25 meters
- Auto-brightness currently requires installation of 3rd party app (Velis)
The good
- Great 720p display
- Very stable and smooth KitKat OS
- 2GB RAM
- All storage relegated to internal
- Very strong GPS
- Great new SoC
- Good battery life
- Strong, fast charging
- OTG / compass / proximity sensor all working
- LTE 4G 1/3/7/20
- Worldwide 3G (850/900/1900/2100)
- Lollipop *may be* right around the corner (opens in new tab)
The Ulefone Be Pro has three relatively minor issues. One is the slightly red tint towards the center of the frame with pictures. This is usually not noticeable in regular pictures, however it’s worth noting.
The second issue is the auto-brightness which can be adjusted using Velis manual graph.
Last, but not least, the average WiFi antenna. This may or may not be a problem. For most people at home or office, they will be within 25 meters of a router.
Despite these, I’m keeping the Ulefone Be Pro at 4 stars and putting it on the recommended list. You get the new 64-bit MT6732 SoC with Mali-T760 which scores 9000 on Antutu 3D (5.6.1), 2GB RAM, full storage relegated to internal and a great looking 720p display. At the price of $135 it’s a great deal and at the price of $146 it’s still a bargain.
Discuss the Ulefone Be Pro at www.chinaphonearena.com
On a side note, it’s very nice to see Ulefone step out of the clone game and make a very solid effort with the Ulefone Be Pro. A damn good show for the first time out.
