Breaking! Neo N003 MT6588 / MTK6589 Smartphone Announced!

Though in reality it’s only been a few months, with the seesawing back and forth regarding a release of an MTK MT6589 / MTK6589 smartphone, it feels like a lot longer.

The Neo N003 will feature the quad-core MTK MT6589 / MTK6589 [email protected], 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, 1280*720 IPS, 12MP CMOS camera and 1080p decoding/encoding and a whopping 3000mA battery.

All around it looks like some stunning specifications. No word on release date, but will have more on the recent Neo budget release coming up shortly.

    FYI, there are two more products that using newest upcoming MTK chipsets with more less similar specifications as with Neo N003. One with MT6589 under brand Star called I5 (you can guess what kind a look of this phone judging by its name). The other is Zopo Leader 950 that comes with bigger screen around 5.7 inch but using unconfirmed dual core chipset. Possibly MT6588 because it supports 13 Mp camera and HD screen resolution about 1280×720 pixels. Iā€˜m eager waiting for these coming soon products!

      Ari, thanks much for the update on these upcoming models. Will try to get a preview up soon. In my opinion, Star is a fine brand. I own an a5000, and while the CPU was only 416MHz, the build quality and LCD were top notch.
