OnePlus may be announcing their OnePlus 6 as early as Q1 2018 to keep themselves in competition with the new mobiles announced at MWC in Barcelone in February. Mid-March is the current estimate for the OnePlus 6 release.
The OnePlus 6 is scheduled to have infrared FaceID which allows it to work in the dark. According to OnePlus the infrared FaceID will not have a notch in the middle of the display as you see on iPhone X.
Here we have a video from ConceptCreations which illustrates how the OnePlus 6 might look.
If you prefer a fingerprint scanner, don’t fret, because the OnePlus 6 is also slated to carry a fingerprint scanner embedded in the display. An excellent move which leaves more room for screen real estate.
Display wise the OnePlus 6 is expected to carry an 18:9 AMOLED 1080P 6″ with 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB options.
The SoC will be Qualcomm’s 10nm Snapdragon 845 which promises excellent efficiency along with flagship power.
Pricing is expected to be in line with the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, both of which were sold at $600 when first released.
