MT6592 iOcean X8 Review Specifications!

iocean-x8-mtk6592We just did specification reviews of the MT6582 iOcean X7 HD, MT6592 iOcean X7S Elite and iOcean G7, but the big release will be MTK6592 iOcean X8. A very nice looking phone with it’s square style.

The battery will be a big 2700mA, RAM – 2GB, SoC will be MT6592. It will profile at 7.7mm and the screen will be 5.7″@1080p. The frame is reported to be unibody and made from magnesium alloy. Camera will be 13mp rear with support for 88 degree wide-angle shots. Front camera will be 5mp.

Regarding the battery, it appears it will be built-in. It’s an unfortunate move, and battery swappers can forget this phone.

It’s a great looking mode. The LCD will be 5.7″ and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. We’re not 100% sure yet, but it’s rumored that the entire iOcean line for Q1 2014 may be bent towards European marketing. This will be confirmed within the next couple weeks, as the phones are set for a February release.

    Why do they even make phones with built-in batteries? It seems ridiculous and stupid! Sometimes removing and replacing is the only way to unlock a phone that gets locked up, somehow, never-mind using two batteries! It prevents sales! It stopped me from buying a MyPhone Iceberg, designed by Sony, that is otherwise an impressive unit! Also, Gorilla 2 or 3? There’s a huge difference!
