cwm-mtk6592 One of the most asked questions on the forum is ‘how to make custom recovery / CWM for MT6575, MT6515, MT6577, MT6517, MT6589, MT6582, MT6588, MT6592, *MT6572’ (*NOT For MT6572 with UBIFS type EMMC).

The CWM we’ll show you how to create will be full touch and version 6.0.4.4.

Today I’ll show you the easiest method to make CWM for your MediaTek / MTK mobile. It’s so easy, you don’t even need a note editor or any programming skills at all.

The software will create CWM, install CWM on your phone, and store a copy on your PC as well to share with others.

What you’ll need:

A rooted MTK phone (*MTK6572 with UBIFS format EMMC is NOT supported)
USB data cable for connecting to PC
ADB VCOM Drivers
The CWM Magic create

What to do:

Install ADB drivers
Run the CWM Magic
Follow the instructions on screen
At points during the process, you’ll see SuperSU pop-ups asking for permission. Allow them.
The entire process takes several minutes, wait for it to finish.
It will then boot you into your new recovery.

  This touch recovery tool now has UBIFS support. Please see the link to the forum. Also, as Tamsin reports, you should be able to make standard recovery (not touch) with MTK Droid Tool.

    Ane one more question mtk have a locked bootloader or not

      It is impossible to confirm if you will have brick or not. You will have to try and see.
      
      Your phone should not have any bootloader. They should all be unlocked.

Mr. Damian, thanks for this kind gesture but i have a problem getting this things….i downloaded and install adb drivers,mtk drivers yet the software keeps telling me ” adb shell not working,please what does this mean and what do i do….i want to install a custom rom on my phone …I am stuck at this step..Please respond asap!!!

    my phone is rooted,superuser is installed….I also proceeded to try the TWRP MAGIC CREATE version,that one kept saying my phone is not supported bcos it isnt an MTK phone….Its a tecno N3- a well known MTk China phone brand running on android gingerbread 2.3.5…..Please what else could be wrong!
    The CWM Magic Create asked me to download MTK AUTO INSTALLER WHICH I DOWNLOADED AND INSTALLED…OR IS MY PHONE CURSED??
    
    PLEASE I REALLY NEED ALL THE HELP AND KNOWLEDGE I CAN GET TO CONQUER THIS ANDROID ANOMALY. I have tried using Many Readymade CWM Custom recoveries i found on net but they never worked! The Phone just stops after showing the TECNO icon on recover reboot..I remember what i went thru b4 i was able to root the phone- Framaroot,Z4root,Gingerbreak,SRSroot, SuperOneClick,IRoot, before i succeeded using KINGO ROOT And Internet Connection.PLEASE HELP ME…I cant figure it out on my own any longer!! in addition…i discovered that the chipset in my tecno n3 is from ARM and not Mediatek…please what does this imply….i thot ARM didnt manufacture chipsets? How does this help for a solution please

Hi Damian,
I have an MT6572 ROM with fastboot recovery, and also stock recovery that has adb sideload update option. can Easy Magic work with any of those?
