Doogee DG550 vs Canon SX270HS vs Goophone S5 Photo Review

Today we have what is considered a sharp shooting compact, the Canon SX270HS. I’m putting the Canon up against the Goophone i5 and the recently reviewed Doogee DG550 and will let our readers decide on the winner.

The scene is a bit overcast, but more than enough daylight to produce good results from smaller sensors.

Keep in mind we are not looking to see what prints the nicest 11×15 posters, or for 1:1 zoom-ins on a 10mp image. The purpose of this comparison is to see: “When shooting pictures with a China clone phone and the Doogee DG550 in decent lighting, will they hold up against a dedicated quality compact and will the shots be adequate for digital sharing (Facebook, email, G+ etc…).”

To make things interesting, the pictures are not labeled, but they are in the same order throughout the gallery. Picture 1 in a set of 3 comes from the same camera as picture 1 in the next set of 3, and so on.

By going to page two of this post you will discover which was 1, which was 2 and which was 3.

Hi , I just ordered dg550, and so far I heard too many but too many claims that screen is too fragile and it breaks by itself, no crash no presure nothing, what is your opinion on that?, i seems and exellent device, but if it is tru that it brokes for nothing as those many users state , that will make doogee a very bad option for cellphones. I am afraid to have the same issue with my doogee :(

You’re the first person to mention it…Here, and at Chinaphonearena.

I’ve never had any problem with the screen. In fact, it fell twice hard. Hard enough to dent the plastic. But the glass was fine.
