The MTK MT6577 / MTK6577 Kai Excursion T1 officially opened pre-sales today. Pre-sale registration will run from October 8 to October 15 and will be officially released between November 8 to November 15. A 100 yuan shipping deposit is required.

This phone has been little loved or talked about, but I find it very interesting due to its projection feature.

The price is a bit higher than what we’d like to see @ 1799 yuan, but considering it’s cheaper than the Samsung Beam, which has a lower lumens rating, and doesn’t have much else competition regarding the projection feature, it could be considered a fair price.

    I don’t know if I should get this phone or the oppo find 5

      I think these phones are in 2 entirely different leagues. The Oppo Find 5 is super thin, and has significantly higher specs in all areas, but there’s no release date that I know of yet for Oppo Find 5, it’s not dual-sim, and of course doesn’t have the projector. The biggest issue might be waiting, as based on rumor, the earliest we’ll see this phone released in China, is December.
