Helio P15 is on the way to replace Helio P10

Recently MediaTek has announced MTK Helio P15. While full specifications of Helio P15 have not yet been officially released, the current known specs put it a step above the well regarded Helio P10.

Helio P15 CPU

The CPU will be 64-bit Cortex-A53, with the main CPU cluster clocked at 2.2GHz. This is a 10% increase over Helio P10’s [email protected].

Helio P15 GPU

As with MT6755 Helio P10, the Helio P15 will carry Mali-T860MP2. What’s changed is the frequency, clocking in at 800MHz in comparison to Helio P10’s 700MHz.

Release date

There’s currently no set date for release. Though it’s assumed Helio P15 will come prior to Helio P20. Given the minor upgrade in specs in comparison to Helio P15, it’s likely meant to replace MT6755 Helio P10 in the Helio lineup, much as MT6737 has replaced MT6735 and MT6755 has replaced MT6753.
