10,000 JiaYu G3’s To Go On Sale Tomorrow For 899 Yuan!

November 28 in China will see 10,000 “iron-gray” JiaYu G3’s released. A decent step up from their recent 5000 unit release.

The JiaYu G3 has been extremely hard to come by, but there have been several retailers selling and shipping internationally at hugely inflated prices. The JiaYu G3 is selling for 899 yuan, while most retailers are selling it internationally for 1400+ yuan. It’s difficult to blame them, as the rule of supply and demand is hard at play when it comes to JiaYu G3 and its scarce availability.

There are several options for smartphones with MTK MT6577 / MTK6577 and 1GB RAM, however there are none that match its huge battery and Corning Gorilla Glass features at this price point. The UMi X1 has Japanese tempered glass, but its battery is relatively small at 1850mA compared to JiaYu’s 2750mA.

Great to see another round of G3’s being sold, however let’s hope JiaYu gets on the ball and gets some mass quantities out before MTK6588 / MTK6589 hits the streets, which may happen before 2012 closes.

It’s just conjecture, but perhaps JiaYu will opt to sell an updated version of the G3 with MTK6588 / MTK6589 CPUs similar to what they’ve done with updating the JiaYu G2 from MTK MT6575 / MTK6575 to MTK MT6577 / MTK6577.
