China Shipping Delays

Currently there is a big backup in China due to a customs crackdown holdup in Shenzhen with DHL. It’s not entirely clear what the reason is, but has been confirmed by 2 separate, well respected shops.

We will do all we can to keep you updated as events unfold.

I heard about this as well. Apparently, they found a boatload of fake US currency and were checking every single package that went through. Also saw it here – http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/threads/goods-stuck-in-chinese-customs-shenzhen-dhl-delays.332864/

China has a national holiday celebration coming up October 1, and they’re going to be closed for several days. I guess now is not a good time to buy stuff :-(

This must explain the delays with my order. Thank you for the details. I’m now looking more into this situation, and see that there are many others in my situation as well. Just really hope it gets sorted out before the national holiday.

Truth is that fake diamonds & fake US dollars have been found, being shipped from China, and their local customs are checking EACH truck/cargo/box.

Good. China needs to enforce these custom checks for fake goods such as currency, diamond, gold, silver, etc. So people who have their products delayed should understand. Flooding markets with fake that people pay good money for is just not right and should be a sun in the 10 commandments of us it 12.. In not a religious person but thou shall not sell fake goods. Of you shall get the wrath of God..

That’s one way to look at it. Another might be, Thou shalt not selleth Gucci handbags for $10,000, iPhone 6 for $800, or DKNY T-shirts for $250.
