More than a few China phone MTK6577, MTK6589, MTK65xx users have turned up with either NVRAM Err = 0x10, or NVRAM Err = 0x04. Other users may also need to change their MAC address because more than one device has the same MAC address and it’s creating a conflict on the wifi network. (more…)

TCL is a well known brand in China and they put out quite high quality phones. TCL Hero N3 Y910 looks very nice too. You can see from the images that it sports a slim 8.5 profile with a very low profile 1.95mm border. (more…)

Just in – MediaTek sales are up 17.2% in Q3 compared to Q2. Whether it’s due to an increase in demand in smartphones, or due to MediaTek tromping the competition is unknown. Regardless, sales rising is always better than sales falling and it’s good to see them making some further headway into the market. (more…)
