Lenovo has stepped up their game in the looks department. When they updated the a750 to a789, they made a phenomenal jump in looks by changing the bottom of the bezel, which slopes down and away. (more…)

The Newman n1 has been very hard to come by, but now available from retailers is the Freelander i10. It’s interesting that the retailers are putting this out as a “Newman n1 OEM”, and possibly that’s the truth. (more…)

This morning at 10am, Amoi n820 Big V went on sale. There were 20,000 white and 10,000 black. All 30,000 units sold out in 15 minutes.

This furthers the notion that it will be very difficult to get our hands on the popular phones such as JiaYu / JaiYu, UMi X1 and Amoi n820 even as they’re released. Of course, we can hope that many of these sales were to retailers that ship abroad, it remains to be seen. -END-

I’m not too impressed. Shrunk down in the sliding gallery they look okay, but when reaching larger sizes, even the outdoor shots look mediocre. (more…)

Oppo hops on the music phone bandwagon hoping to catch youth customers with it’s excellent audio features. The Oppo R817 out-of-the-box supports automatic lyric and cover search, and flac / app double lossless, ogg and amr as well as the standard audio formats. (more…)
