Leagoo is a fairly new brand, born in April 2014, but the team behind Leagoo, OTEDA Group Holding Limited, began and have been involved with technology and mobile communications since 2003.
OTEDA seems like a serious company, and through Leagoo, they’ve released 12 very nice looking, mostly slick and slim phones.
Up for preview today is the ultra-budget Leagoo Alfa 5

I want to mention something regarding frequencies. Although Leagoo has this phone officially listed as 900/2100, they have also released an 850/1900/2100 version to select online sellers. This makes it a great 2G/3G/H/H+ phone for the Americas as well as most of the rest of the world.
Along with the excellent price, comes the budget, but very capable SC7731. This Spreadtrum brand SoC carries the same CPU and GPU as MT6582.
RAM is 1GB, which is enough to push Android smoothly. Storage at 8GB gives plenty of space for installing apps, while the TF SD expandable storage can be used for storing music, video and photos. Also note that many apps allow themselves to be moved over to external SD.
We also see Leagoo has given the Alfa 5 a 720P display, which is rare for such a well-priced mobile.

I’m digging the style Leagoo used here; if you’re in the market for an ultra-budget mobile, and have a carrier that supports the above mentioned frequencies, consider the Alfa 5.
