10 top mobiles. China phone Xiaomi Mi5 comes in 1st
Xiaomi along with Snapdragon 820 MSM8996 heralds the Mi5 as the most powerful consumer mobile in the universe.
Just how much more powerful than the previous generation? Hugely so. In fact, it may be the biggest leap in year-to-year smartphone raw power ever.
Not only with chipsets used in Android mobiles, but in iPhones as well.
The leap from Snapdragon 810 to Snapdragon 820 is huge, with the 820 scoring a full 55k bigger than 810 (+68%).
Apple’s A9 makes a similar jump, scoring 53.5k over it’s predecessor, A8 (+67%).
New generation GPUs
GPUs have also seen an ultraboost. Here we see the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 put a ridiculous smoking on Apple A9 by 16k, and an ever further jump over last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 by 26k.
Top 10 most powerful smartphones in the universe
It’s not Samsung, nor is it iPhone taking the #1 spot in the universe for Most Powerful Phone. It’s none other than Xiaomi Mi5.
