Helio X20 vs Helio X25 MT6797 vs Helio MT6797T
Helio X20 MT6797 and Helio X25 MT6797T are MediaTek’s new power babies. They’ve been long awaited and have finally arrived, with the MT6797 Helio X20 scoring a huge 95k on Antutu.
What’s the difference between Helio X20 and Helio X25 / MT6797 vs MT6797T
MTK6797 and MTK6797T are very similar SoCs, but with different clock speeds set for the GPU and CPU. In all other things they’re the same. Memory RAM bus speed, encoding and decoding of video, display support, modem / RF support, and WiFi/GPS/Bluetooth connectivity are all identical.
Helio X20 vs Helio X25 comes down to just two things, the clock speeds of the Helio X20 / X25 CPU cores and the clock speeds of the Helio X20 / Helio X25 GPU cores.
We’ve also included the Helio P10 MT6755 vs MT6757 Helio P20 and the Helio X10 MT6795.

Quite a few mobiles with Helio X20 and X25 are already on the market. Interestingly we also see some big dog names in there such as Sharp and Acer, along with the usual host of China brands. The most anticipated might be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, which is due to arrive within the next month.

Shame there’s no 6″ devices with either of these chipsets, everyone just copying each other in every respect. About time someone dared to be different and tried to differentiate themselves from the rest.
I see differentiating, just often not in the right direction. We have iNew U9+ and Cubot Max review coming up at http://www.GizBeat.com/review/ but these are budget devices.
Well I’ve been agonising over the Nubia z11 max and Honor note 8 over the last few weeks and ordered the Nubia as I had better vibes from it. Are you planning on reviewing either of these? I’m still not sure I’ve made the right decision and could cancel as there’s a stupidly long processing time. Really don’t know what to do as there are very few good large screen phones about. It’s between driving me mad for weeks! What are your thoughts?
