Chinese OnePlus 5 beats iPhone 7
The Chinese OnePlus 5 has scored an 87, which is 3 points below the top spot in DxOMark Mobile testing.
This score puts it directly in line with Huawei’s Leica P10 camera and Sony’s Xperia XZ, and 1 point higher than iPhone 7. The current top spot is held by HTC U11.
The OnePlus features a dual-camera setup, with one camera being 16MP F1.7, and the 2nd camera a 2x zoom 20MP F2.6 tele-zoom camera for portraits and zoom shots. The camera tested in the DxOMark review is the 16MP F1.7 module.
The OnePlus 5 camera delivered good results in both bright and low-light situations. Testers at DxOMark were especially impressed with its excellent shade interpretation, accurate white balance, good detail retention and fast, smooth autofocus.
Video, according to DxOMark, offered accurate exposure, good white balance, quick exposure transitions with scene light changes, accurate autofocus and an effective optical image stabilization. The video score was an excellent 86.
