Meizu, one of the longest running China brands, and know for putting out phones with quality hardware, is releasing a groundbreaking new phone– Meizu Pro 7 Plus.
The standout feature of the Meizu Pro 7 Plus is its dual AMOLED setup. Up front is a 5.7″ AMOLED display, and in back is a small AMOLED display which displays time and weather, who’s calling when a call comes through, as a viewfinder for high quality selfies, and music playback. I also expect 3rd party developers and Meizu will come up with some other ingenious uses for the second display.
The Pro 7 Plus will be carrying the new 10-core Helio X30, which uses 10nm process for outstanding power efficiency.
The rear cameras will be dual 12MP Sony IMX368. One will be monochrome and one will be color (opens in new tab).
Standout features of the Meizu Pro 7 Plus
- Dual AMOLED
- 6GB RAM
- 64GB storage
- SD expandable
- Dual 12MP Sony IMX368 1/2.9″ f2.0 PDAF
- 16MP front camera
There will also be a smaller Pro 7, non-Plus version, with 5.2″ instead of 5.7″ and Helio P25 instead of X30.
Looks incredible, but don’t expect these phones to be cheap. An official price hasn’t been announced, but conservatively, we expect the Pro 7 Plus to be $400+, perhaps even $500+.
