Xiaomi releases Stable Android 8.0 for Xiaomi Mi A1
Xiaomi Mi A1 celebrated the new year by rolling out official Global Stable Pure Android 8.0 to Xiaomi Mi A1 owners.
I and a few others initially had an issue getting the Xiaomi Mi A1 update to show as available, but after continuously tapping the update button it finally registered and began downloading.
Installation was without issue.
Take a look at Android 8.0 Oreo on Xiaomi Mi A1. Google has made things even more minimalistic than previous versions. Featuring a generally black and white theme which I suppose goes right along with the Oreo colors.
I like Oreo. It’s another update where the difference can actually be seen in the frontend. For example the theme change, the ability to turn off individual notification types from an app, re-enabling night mode, and the multi-notification accordion style support.
Great job Xiaomi. Really impressed with the Mi A1 and I’ve got a full review just about finished.
