htc-desire-sv-r45As already known by most of you, HTC normally uses Qualcomm chips. It’s long been rumored that HTC will put out a model with MTK SoC. It looks like now that MT6592 has come along, they’re finally taking some serious steps towards releasing a phone with a MediaTek solution.

The current rumor is that Wingtech will be working with HTC to produce the units. Though this is still not much more than a whisper in the wind, industry analysts are claiming HTC may have a Mediatek smartphone releases sometime in 2014.

Another huge step for Mediatek if HTC using their SoC becomes reality.
