Fix OTG iNew V3!
Sometimes problems are hardware related, other times they’re software. In the case of OTG not working with iNew V3, it’s thankfully looking like the problem was a software related one for most users.
Originally we thought the problem was hardware related, as a shop had posted a YouTube video showing the issue and saying the first 1000 units didn’t have OTG. It was implied that the issue was hardware related and couldn’t be fixed by a firmware update.
After someone posted their firmware however, the OTG problem with iNew V3 has been solved by several people, including myself, simply by installing the firmware.
At this point it looks to be a software issue with all iNew V3, however it’s also possible there were some units released without OTG hardware. The only way to tell for sure is to give the firmware a try and see if it solves the problem as it did for me and several others.
The full thread and links to the firmware is here.
