The Xiaomi MI series has been popular for those wanting a mid-priced, powerful mobile. This year’s version, the MI4I has the powerful 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC with the CPUs clocked at 1.7GHz. The GPU is Adreno 405. The Xiaomi MI4I supports dual-SIM and comes in 5 different colors – black, white, blue, pink, and yellow.
RAM on the MI4I will be 2GB and storage 16GB. Note here that storage is not expandable. The front camera will be 5MP and the rear camera 13MP f/2.0. The Xiaomi MI4 will ship with Android 5.0.
Sensors notably include a Gyroscope and compass along with the standard array – Light sensor, G-sensor, Proximity sensor, Hall Sensor. The 3G WCDMA will be worldwide 850/900/1900/2100 and 4G LTE 1800/2600MHz.
Beyond the Qualcomm SoC, another standout feature of the Xiaomi MI4I is the size, being 5.0″ and bucking the bigger is better trend. The display will be 1080P, which gives us a very dense ppi of 440.
The battery is a quite big for a 5.0″ mobile, being 3120mAh. This should provide more than enough juice to get most users through a day.
All in all, the Xiaomi MI4 looks like a strong contender, especially with the large battery and worldwide 3G.
