Blackview is a relatively new comer to the mobile market. I first reviewed their very slick and well made, but overpriced, Blackview Omega a couple months back, and more recently I reviewed their great $80 budget Blackview Zeta.

The newest phone in their line up is the Blackview Alife P1 Pro.

Specs at a glance

  • OS: Lollipop 5.1
  • RAM: 2GB
  • ROM Storage: 16GB
  • SoC: 4-core 64-bit MT6735
  • Front camera: 5.0MP
  • Rear camera: 13MP
  • Display: 5.5@720P
  • SIM: Dual
  • Battery: removable 3000mAh
  • 2G/GSM: 850/1800/1900/2100
  • 3G/WCDMA/3G: 900/1900/2100
  • 4G/LTE: 800/1800/2100/2600
  • Price (as of this posting): $99 (limited quantity)-$130
  • Other: Fingerprint touch ID / Hotknot

The first thing that caught my eye was the outstanding price point of $99 for a 5,5″ / 2GB RAM / 16GB / 3000mAh phone. I peg the Alife P1 Pro to be a budget winner for those in Asia / UK / Europe and those in 1900 WCDMA areas in the Americas.

Many China models are now being released with Android 5.1 and the Blackview Alife P1 Pro is no different. I’m also digging the style, being mostly square and with gold sides.

$99 for a slick looking, 2GB RAM phone, frankly it’s astonishing. If you’re in the market for a phone and your carrier supports 3G 900/1900/2100 or LTE 800/1800/2100/2600, this phone is definitely one to check out. Both Blackviews I’ve previously reviewed are very solid mobiles all around and I expect the P1 Pro to be no different.
