LeTV is one of the more interesting recent players to enter the smartphone market. Unlike many recent companies who seemingly sprang from nowhere, LeTV has been around since 2004.

Leshi Internet Information & Technology, AKA LeTV got their start as a China entertainment company. They’re focused on Internet TV, video production and distribution, smart gadgets, e-commerce, eco-agriculture and Internet linked electric cars.

What this all means is that LeTV is a serious player with clout, tons of capital and a huge amount of experience in the electronics industry. This is one brand to keep a keen eye on if you’re in the market for a new mobile.

Up for preview today is the LeTV One X600

LeTV One X600 specs specifications

  • SoC: MTK6795 Helio X10
  • CPU: 64-bit 8-core [email protected]
  • GPU: PowerVR G6200
  • RAM: 3GB
  • ROM storage: 32GB
  • Display: IPS 5.5″@1080P
  • Rear camera: 13MP
  • Front camera: 5MP
  • Gyroscope: Yes
  • Compass: Yes
  • Dual-SIM: Yes
  • Battery: 3000mAh (built-in)
  • 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
  • 3G: WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz
  • 4G: FDD-LTE 1800/2100/2600MHz

With several China brands turning their heads towards retail in UK/Euro, it’s great to see LeTV paying attention to N/C/S Americas by including 850&1900 WCDMA.

With the solid frequency support, we also get a big 3GB RAM and larger than average 32GB built-in storage, compass, gyroscope, and the extremely powerful MT6795 Helio X10 SoC. The MT6795 is MTK’s current flagship SoC, and along with the big RAM makes the LeTV One X600 a force to contend with; the Antutu advertised by LeTV shows it hitting 50k+.

I’ll also note here that LeTV claims OIS (optical image stabilization), which is nearly unheard of in devices costing even twice as much as the LeTV One X600. This is a feature which allows for some slight hand movement while taking a shot and compensates for the movement with minute adjustments of the lens.

LeTV is one of the few China brands that has been around for a long long time. While not producing mobiles until just recently, they have extensive experience in the electronics market and can be considered a reputable brand.

For these specs, the One X600 is available at a great price. If you’re looking for a powerful flagship strong mobile, but don’t want to break the bank, consider the LeTV One X600.
