SoC MT6795 vs Snapdragon 650
Taking a look at the specs of both Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro vs the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, we see that the Pro version is using the big.LITTLE Qualcomm Snapdragon 650, in comparison to the standard version’s MTK6795 Helio X10.
big.LITTLE is a setup that allows the [email protected] to kick in when heavy lifting is required, while leaving the Cortex-A53 to handle things when CPU load isn’t so tough. In theory, this should provide an excellent combination of battery life and power.
The Snapdragon 650 carries the more powerful CPU and GPU, but whether that matters in real world usage is another story and we will be doing a full analysis battle between these two phones to see whether the difference will affect us.
Camera megapixels
Another difference is the 13MP sensor vs the 16MP sensor. Both of these sensors are the same size, however with the S5K3P3, pixel size has been shrunk to fit 16MP. The ongoing battle between more pixels vs bigger pixels has yet to be decided, with proponents from both camps claiming superiority.
Qualcomm employs some interesting algorithms which cleans up noise very nicely, but this is usually at the expense of sharpness. As with the SoC battle, we will see which one of these cameras comes out on top in our full comparison next week.
this will likely come down to price vs TF SD expansion support
TF SD Expansion
The biggest difference factor in our view may be the Pro version’s inclusion of TF SD card support, allowing us to expand storage up to a whopping 128GB; though, when using a TF SD card, we are limited to Single-SIM.

The similarities
Both the standard and Pro version support the same radio frequencies, the same display, same battery capacity, same set of components, and are identical style and build-wise.
Coming up
We will have a much more detailed comparison between these phones coming next week, but to throw forth an educated guess, this will likely come down to price vs TF SD expansion support and which one is more important to you. Which would you choose?
