Cubot generally makes very solid, reliable, well-priced mobiles. They have been around long enough to be considered a veteran brand.

It may sound like I’m going a bit far, but in an industry where brands are here today and gone tomorrow and even the oldest of China brands have existed but a few years, Cubot can be considered seasoned.

Checking the style of the Cubot X16 we see it’s thankfully following the very square trend and according to Cubot, its super thin at 6.2mm. You can get the Cubot X16 in black or white.
SoC wise, the X16 carries the very good MT6735A. This version of MT6735 has the CPUs [email protected]. This is the same SoC that’s in my current main mobile, and it’s very good; perhaps one of the quickest phones I’ve used recently.
The display is IPS OGS 1080P. At 5″ this makes the display truly retina. It’s made by JDI. JDI makes great displays and its nice to see Cubot using it here on the X16.
RAM is a big 2GB. This is more than enough for to run Android smoothly and should be enough to satisfy even multitasking power users as well.
