Umi is generally considered synonymous with quality when talking about China brands. They were one of the first to come with Gorilla Glass and have been in the China phone game for several years.

As we reported a couple months back, Faea has been working on a release of Cyanogenmod on Faea F2s.

Do We Need 1080p LCDs? 1080p vs 720p!
Just in 2013 was when the China phone market began to explode with 1080p offerings. At the time, the MT6589 SoC with SGX544 was just barely enough to push it. Now in 2014 we’ve finally got a GPU that can handle the weight of 1080p – the Mali-450 MP4 in the MT6592. The question then becomes, do we really even need 1080p on our smartphones. (more…)
