The Chinese are still going on about TCL Idol X+ S960T being the first MTK6592 to market, but it’s still not out and meanwhile several other models have already been released. I’m not sure where their head’s at, but they do love their TCL. (more…)

MT6592 THL T100 Iron Man Monkey King 2 Official Frequency Specs
Just after finishing up my previous post, will China phones work in America and Europe, I came across the current official specs which show the MT6592 THL T100 Iron Man / Monkey King 2 as having 900/1800 GSM and 850/2100 WCDMA only. Many sellers are showing this phone as 850/900/1800/1900 GSM and 850/1900/2100 WCDMA, but it looks like this isn’t the case. I strongly doubted it from first seeing the new info at merchants sites, but still held some hope. (more…)

Will MTK6592 China Phones Work In America and Europe?
Since writing my last preview of MT6592 THL T100 Monkey King 2 / Iron Man, the shops have changed their tune and are now including 850MHz WCDMA / UMTS in the specs of the T100. Some are now even showing 1900MHz WCDMA. The MT6592 Mlais MX69 Pro is showing quad-band WCDMA (850/900/1900/2100) on shop sites and on the Mlais official page as well. Is it too good to be true? A China MTK phone with both of the major American frequencies? (more…)

Backup ROM MTK6592 / MTK6589 / MTK6582 / MTK6577 / MTK6572 – Any MTK Phone!
User NexusTrix at Chinaphonearena has made an awesome contribution. A full tutorial on how to backup any MediaTek phone. Though he included ‘MT6592’ in the mix, I’m not sure MTK Droid Tools is 100% compatible with MTK6592 phones, but the process will be the same.
